Overheard

"As you can see from this lengthy, oft-photocopied document from my physician-healer-shaman, Dr. Web, MD, from www..., err, I mean, CANADA, I'll need 125mg of Demerol, 50mg of Phenergan, a turkey sammich, 14 blankets, some extra pillows, and the air conditioning turned up on blast. Also, I'll need access to an AC outlet, so I can plug in my laptop. I must resume flaming ERP, and flooding his Blog with my extensive experience and medical expertise. He just doesn't understand me. I'm in P-A-I-N. Ooooo, Springer's on."

Is springer on, I don't watch that nonsense? I've never taken Demerol. I took Perc's for two days after thyroid surgery, but hated the way it made me feel, so I switched to Motrin. I don't care for Turkey, and I don't like my A/C too cold. Thanks for giving chronic disease suffers an inside glance of how the people that we entrust with our lives really feel about their patients.

You should be ashamed of yourself. You are too Jaded to do anyone any good anymore.

Ooooo, my first Troll.

cam: That's funny, my truly sick patients seem to think I do a pretty good job. Guess I'm not too Jaded to save lives.

If you can bitch, moan, and complain throughout your "Emergency", than it's not an emergency, my friend.

And you caught the troll's good side in that picture. You really should do something to mask the troll's identity, since Rose might try to sue you over HIPAA or some other violations. :-)

It is amazing how these trolls can tell how you behave through the internet. Is it something about those pointy ears? Oh no, that might have been perceived as insensitive to drug seeking non-emergency patients demanding emergency treatment. Maybe they thought is was a Nun emergency? I must be the Devil.

I'm no longer capable of providing compassionate care, because I don't cower before the self appointed, self righteous, rectal self examiners.

Cam--In the event that we can actually get to the sick patients inbetween drug seekers and whiners I will gladly let you know what we think.

I've never had a sick patient complain. I have however had 2 reported complaints from people who were healthier than I(despite their narcotic addiction and obvious obsessive whining/complaining).

If you are in so much pain that you need narcotics, I'm going to know it and not have to ask. If we have to ask, it isn't that bad. Oh, and calling them "perc's" isn't a good way to get me to believe you've only taken them twice.

Paracynic, you are in line to have my babies behind AD and Crusty. Of course there are complication associated with this but we'll work on that later.

I think I've transported that Troll a couple of times. It looks awfully familiar....

CAM - as in Complementary and Alternative Medicine? If you believe in that stuff you will believe in anything. The hooker with the heart of gold, the poor misunderstood junkie kept down by the man, but not that someone expressing human frustrations might behave professionally when treating these system abusers.
